During a Free Trial, Your child will:

  • Use modified racquets and balls designed for their age
  • Learn through games, movement, skill-based, and rally activities

Our free trial lets your child experience a real session before you decide if tennis is right for them.


Advantage Tennis uses the Hot Shots Tennis framework, which means your child learns on:

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is previous tennis/sport experience required?

    Our trial sessions are a great introduction to learning tennis. Kids will have the chance to learn some of the basics and play a few fun games. This provides a sample of what weekly tennis lessons would consist of.

  • What to bring? Do I need a racquet?

    • Wear a hat, running shoes and comfortable sports clothing
    • Bring a drink bottle/water
    • Tennis racquet if you have one, if not we will have racquets to use

  • What times are available for a trial?

    Our trial timetable differs from our regular lesson timetable- we do this so that our regular classes are not disrupted, and we can tailor the trial session to the participant's level, and give us a chance to discuss our programs with the parents.

  • What happens if it rains?

    If we need to cancel a trial session due to the weather, we will notify you through the contact details you provide when booking. 


    This can sometimes be up to 1 hour before the booking, to give every chance of the weather clearing up to go ahead. 

  • What day and time are lessons held?

    Our tennis lessons are held during the school term, with a timetable that varies by location. 


    The player's age and ability will determine which classes are suitable, which is usually assessed at an open day or trial session.
